We are thrilled to announce that we won the “Best Seafood Dish made with Hake” in the first ever Hermanus Fynarts Culinary Challenge. We are so proud of our chef and staff. Thank you to all who voted for us!
Whether an exotic twist on an old favorite, or their own personal creations, chefs participating in the Fynarts Culinary Challenge entered in one, or both, of the following categories:
- Seafood dish made with Hake
- Speciality or dessert made using Cape Honey
For the month of May, the dishes entered into the FynArts Culinary Challenge were on the menu at the participating restaurants. Patrons participated by tasting the dishes and filling in the evaluation provided by Hermanus Tourism. Their votes contributed 50% to the final scores.
During the ten-days of FynArts, a panel of three professional chefs did the final judging.
Participating restaurants were: De Voorskooten; Dutchies; ELL at Spookfontein; Harbour Rock; Just Pure; La Pentola; La Vierge; Pavilion at the Marine Hotel; Milkwood Restaurant; Rossis; Savannah Cafe and @ Food and Wine.
